Before attending a vocal class or studying our “Star Quality Singing System” make sure that you have:

Have a freestanding mirror to watch your progress, movements, facial expressions, shape of the mouth, breathing etc.3. Spend a minimum of an hour a day practicing.4. Review and take notes on the following points:1. Are you in Tune with the music? - your notes should match the song.2. Is your voice strong or weak- remember shouting is NOT Singing as it damages the voice.3. Do you take the correct amount of breath to sing through the phrase correctly – you should not be short of breath4. Do you struggle to reach the notes - pick an easy song to start with! Your vocal technique should help you build strength and coordination.5. You should not be gasping for air between phrases - learn to breath in the "rests" between phrases6. Listen to the difference in your voice when you review your vocal lessons. When you practice record your self and make a note of your progress.Free vocal tips: #3A Healthy Voice:1. Drink Plenty of Water.2. Eat whole foods, grains, fresh veggies, fruits, low fat or fat free dairy products.3. A vegetarian diet works well4. Eat organic when ever possible.5. Stay away from fast foods6. Warm foods like healthy soups are always great!7. Remember, do not eat heavy meals at least two and a half hours before a demanding performance.8. Exercise must be incorporate it into your daily life. Find something that can enhance your performance such as dancing.9. Remember you are the instrument, and the instrument must be taken care of and nurtured.10. No smoking, excessive drinking or drugs, as it will ruin your voice and your body.11. Reduce stress in your life by singing, praying or meditating. This will help keep your body, mind and spirit healthy.4. Everyone learns differently, make sure that you find a teacher who can tune into your needs. Someone who will allow you to develop your own natural beautiful signature sound.5.
